J Lee Vause Park on the shores of Lake Jackson, just north of Tallahassee is a small regional park carved out of twenty six acres of hardwood forest.
Primarily a community playground, this park has a number of pavilions for cook outs, bike and pedestrian trails, restrooms and a nice playground for the kids. The boardwalk that edges the lake is the place to see the birds. Osprey and eagles are common and songbirds can be found in the trees. This park is worth a short visit while in the area.
The address is 6024 Old Bainbridge Road Tallahassee, Florida 32303
