Green Cay Wetlands – GFBWT

Green Cay Wetlands in Boynton Beach can easily make the Telephoto Florida top ten list of Florida birding sites.

A haven for birds, locals and tourists alike, the site sits on 100 acres of donated farmland that was turned into a water reclamation facility filtering millions of gallons of water each day. There is a 1.5 mile boardwalk system and a nature center. Spring is a great time to visit during migration and nesting season.

The park is open from 7:00 am to sunset and can be found at 12800 Hagen Ranch Road, Boynton Beach, Florida 33437. When in the area be sure to jog over to Wakodahatchee Wetlands to complete a full day of prime south Florida birding.
